Evaluation Plan

After  completing the production of our video and ancillary task, its now time to evaluate our work. To do this I will answer the following 4 questions:

About the band (Tour Dates)

Inspiration for our music video

We are going to parody 3 well known music videos in out music video's. The songs are "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, "Here We Go Again" by OK GO and "Is this the way to Amarillo" by Tony Christie. 

We chose to include these songs, because of the fact that they are iconic and because of this people will recognize that fact and relate to the music video.

Ancillary Task Planning

Front Cover

Our idea for the front cover is to spoof the "Best of Blur" album by the band Bur. The front cover that we will create will attempt to replicate that album cover which uses multiple pictures of the band in a pop art style. This also plays well with the "Multiple Personality" theme to our media project since it will be 4 pictures of martin doing different emotions.

Song List

Through our research into album covers we had found that these list's tend to be very minimalist, clean and too the point. So we will stick to this convention, we will do a simple black and white song list with time's and track numbers.

Credits

Albums will always some kind of legal page for credit and such. I will continue the simple theme of the other pages and keep it clean and precise.

Personal Message
Alot of singers will add a personal message to their digipak to thank loyal fans for buying the cd and supporting the artist.

Selecting videos to mimick

The following videos are the possible choices for us to mimic:

• Dancing in the street - David Bowie & Mick Jagger
• Is this the way to Amarillo - Tony Christie (Mimed by Peter Kay)
• Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
• Here we go again - OK GO!

Out of those 4 music videos we realised that we could only fit 3 of them in the music video since there are 3 chorus's. The 3 we decided to go with are "Is this the way to Amarillo", "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Here we go again". We chose these 3 because they are the most recognisable and all are relatively easy to achieve.

Music Video Plot

For the narrative we have had the idea that Martin will be accompanied by a teddy bear, thus creating a comedy element caused by the surrealism. We will travel through martins relationship with the bear and there will be flash backs to the past. These flashbacks will be caused by performance shots of Martin mimicking popular comedy music videos. The flashback will occur when Martin sees a item relating to his past starting, off the flashback.
